At Modern Energy Solutions, our commitment to service, quality, and speed is driven by the deep expertise of our owner-operator, Richard Palomino. A Utah-based solar contractor, Richard brings over ten years of dedicated experience across three states to every project.

Richard’s career is built on a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of the entire solar lifecycle. He began his journey on utility-scale solar farms in Arizona, where he also studied at Arizona Western College and earned a Solar Specialist certification.

His expertise broadened significantly during four years in California, where he specialized in residential and commercial solar—personally handling installation, repair, and learning the full project lifecycle while completing journeyman-level electrical schooling.

Richard relocated to Utah three years ago, initially working in corporate operations for a nationwide residential solar company. For the past two years, he has led Modern Energy Solutions, focusing on delivering specialized, high-quality service to the local community.

Known for his clear communication and commitment to clean, code-compliant work, Richard helps homeowners, roofers, and builders keep systems safe, reliable, and performing at their best.
